DOGS & POULTRY

STEPS TO PREVENT WORRYING. AMENDMENT TO ACT. According to an amendment of the Dogs’ Registration Act, 1908, poultry are now brought under the provisions of the Act in respect to losses through worrying by dogs. Protection for poultry from worrying by dogs has been consistently advocated at the annual conferences of the New Zealand Poultry Producers’ Federation during recent years, and the amendment of the Dogs' Registration Act to include poultry will be welcomed by poultry-keepers generally. Both dog-owners and poultry-keep-ers would be well advised to acquaint themselves with the provisions of the Act, copies of which may be obtained from the Government Printer at a cost of lOd including postage.
