ATTEMPTED MURDER
CHARGE AGAINST AUCKLAND MAN. ARRESTED AFTER DISCHARGE FROM HOSPITAL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND. November 12. As a sequel to the finding of a man and married woman with their wrists gashed in. a bedroom at the Station Hotel last Monday morning, the man. Francis Leonard Laurie, storeman. aged 39. has been arrested. He will appear in the Magistrates' Court tomorrow, charged with the attempted murder of Josephine Norton Laycock. The arrest was made by Detective Mille. when Laurie was discharged from the Auckland Hospital this morning. He was formally charged and placed iij custody. Mrs Laycock has not yet been discharged from hospital, but her condition is not serious.
