EIRE’S “NEUTRALITY”
SOME CURIOUS ANOMALIES. Writing of curious anomalies created in Eire by Mr de Valera’s decision to remain 'neutral," the Dublin correspondent of "The Times" says: —The position nt the moment is teeming with anomalies. Germany has a Legation in Dublin with a Minister Plenipotentiary, a Secretary of Legation, and several Legation and Consular officials, including a press agent. Great Britain, on the other hand, has no diplomatic representation of any kind. Her only representative in Eire is the United Kingdom Trade Commissioner, Mr Geoffrey Braddock, who is an official of the Overseas Department of the Board of Trade. There is a Frenchman. M Jules Blonde), who was Charge d'Affaires in Rome during the sanctions period, and even Poland has a ConsulGeneral.
