RABBITSKIN SALE
VALUES PAR TO FIRM.. (Ry Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, November 7. The last fortnightly rabbitskin sale of the season was held today. Associated Brokers submitted catalogues totalling approximately 12 tons. There was a good demand and, considering the quality of the skins now forward, values for winter grades were firm. Summers and inferior descriptions mot a ready sale and were at par to a shade firmer than previous quotations. Winter bucks sold to 80d. and winter docs to 48d Sales will now be hold monthly during the summer. The official range of prices is: Summer broken, 29jd to 321 d a lb: second winter broken. 361 d to 39,'d; first winter broken, 39d to 423 d; summers, 29.jd to 32.'d; winter black, 26d to 36d; winter fawns, 40d to 46d; milky, 31d to 323 d; first milky, 36d to 40d; stained does, 40d to 43Jd; winter bucks, 70d to 80d; winter does, 42Jd to 48d; out-go-ing winter bucks, 521 d .to 581 d; outgoing winter does. 41 d to 43Jd; spring bucks, 42 : ;d to 461 d spring does. 34?,d to 39!d; hare skins. 16d to 20d; horsehair. 21d to 23d; first ferrets (each). 5s to 6s 3d: ferrets (each), Is 8d to 3s. The next sale is listed for December r.
A supplementary sale of opossum skins was held after the rabbitskin sale, the offering being approximately 9500 skins. The demand was limited, exporters having filled their orders for the season. Values all over showed an casing, specially for thirds and inferior skins, which were difficult to dispose of.
