SALES AT MASTERTON POST OFFICE. HOUSE-TO-HOUSE CANVASS TO BE MADE. The sale of health stamps at the Masterton Post Office has not been very brisk so far. In the three weeks since the stamps have been on sale, stamps totalling £l5 have been disposed of. . ,
As Mr F. Dean has kindly’agreed to carry out a house4to-house canvass for the sale of the stamps, it is expected that a much more satisfactory return will be shown before the stamps are withdrawn from sale. Last year. Mr Dean conducted a successful canvass of business firms and householders and in two weeks sold £7l worth of stamps. In addition, he organised an egg drive in local schools and by this means another £8 was raised. The total sales last year were over £l2O
