ANNUAL SPORTS HELD TODAY IN FINE WEATHER. THREE RECORDS BROKEN. Bright sunshine flooded the grounds of Wairarapa College when the annual athletic sports were held today. Sports master of many years standing, Mr J. W. Bird, capably supervised the organisation of the gathering and events started with clockwork promptness. Parents, old pupils and friends of the school were present in force in the afternoon. Three records were broken before lunch —A. Dewar cleared 4ft. 9in. in the high jump championship; K. Breen made a distance of 15ft. Sin. in the long jump, under 14, and Thelma Saunders broke the girls' 75 yards junior record by 3-5 of a second in clocking 9 3-5 seconds.
