FEATHERSTON
MILK FOR CHILDREN SCHEME IN OPERATION. ("Times-Age” Special.) The scheme for supplying milk to the children of the Featherston school came into operation yesterday when the contractors delivered 322 1 pint bottles of milk and straws. With the exception of a few the children enjoyed the milk. The average number of bottles delivered daily to schools between Otane and Featherston is 7,500. The system promises to work successfully. Mr J. W. Holland, chairman of the school committee was present at the distribution. Personal Items. Miss A. Jones has returned to Wellington after a weekend spent with her sister Mrs A. P. Clapshaw. Mrs J. George. Pahiatua. is spending a few days with her brother, Mr H. Lawson. •
