OBITUARY
MR. J. J. U. BURKE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The death has occurred of Mr J. J. L. Burke, who retired in November, 1937, from the position of Registrar-General of Land for New Zealand. Mr Burke was District Grand Trustee for the Hibernian Society, a member of the Superior Council of the Society of St Vincent de Paul, vice-chairman and trustee of the Wellington Catholic Trust Board and secretary of the National Eucharistic Congress Committee.
