EAST SCHOOL
BAZAAR TOMORROW AFTERNOON In connection with the East School bazaar, which is being held in the school tomorrow afternoon, the opening ceremony will be performed by Mrs Coddington at 2 o’clock. One of the features of the bazaar will be the children’s stall, where the pupils will sell the Articles they have made during the year. Dolls in knitted outfits are an attractive feature of this stall, and busy housewives will find the kettle-holders, oven-cloths and aprons made by the children both useful and ornamental In addition to the stalls there will be a display of art work by the pupils of Stds. I and 11. The scenes illustrated are from Maori legends. This display should prove of interest to those who realise the growing importance of art in education. During the afternoon the Central School band will render items. The bazaar will be followed by a dance in the evening. It is hoped that both afternoon and evening functions will attract a large number of friends. Contributions for the stalls may be left at the school tonight or tomorrow morning.
