M. SARACOGLU REVIEWS NEGOTIATIONS ASSURANCES OF SINCERE FRIENDSHIP. SATISFACTION IN ANKARA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. ANKARA, October 24. The Foreign Minister, M Saracoglu, reviewed the Moscow talks for two hours before the Republican People’s Party, after which the following communique was issued: “The precision of ideas exchanged and the reciprocal declarations showing the sincerity of friendship between Turkey ahd Russia were received with satisfaction.” • ARMENIAN CLAIM ALLEGEDLY PROMOTED BY RUSSIA. TURKEY' ASKED TO RETURN PROVINCE. (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) LONDON, October 24. The “Daily Mail’s” Ankara correspondent learns that Armenia, acting under instructions from Russia, has claimed the return of Turkey’s most eastern province, in which are centred the towns of Kars and Ardahan, which were Armenian until 1920. The population in this area is Rus-sian-speaking. This indicates that Russia. having failed to impose her terms on Turkey for south-eastern expansion, is now directing her ambitions from a, different point and wants a warm seaport on the Persian Gulf. The correspondent adds that Herr von Papen is expected from Berlin on October 27. It is reported that he is bringing from Herr Hitler an invitation for M Saracoglu to go to Berlin.
