MOTOR COLLISION

ON BRIDGE AT MT BRUCE. A YOUTH INJURED. About 3.40 o’clock yesterday afternoon, a motor accident occurred on the Mt Bruce road. Mr Donald George Grant, of Mangator, near Dannevirke, was driving toward Masterton across the one-way suspension bridge at Mt Bruce when his truck collided with a van, which was driven by Mr Everett Ernest Dew, Hastings. Mr Keith Macklow, aged 18 years, of Hastings, who was a passenger in the van was thrown forward by the impact and his head broke the windscreen, his face being severely cut. Neither vehicle was much damaged. Mr Macklow was admitted to Masterton Public Hospital for treatment.
