MAURICEVILLE
WOMEN’S DIVISION MONTHLY MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) A most enjoyable evening was spent last night bby a good attendance of members at the monthly meeting of the Mauriceville branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union. Prizes were won as follow: —Ladies, H. Neilsen; men, F. Morrell. Consolation: Ladies, Mrs Palmer; men, I. Larsen. The proceeds from the competitions were set aside for the buying of more books for the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union library. Aggregate prizes were won by Mrs H. Neilsen and Mr J. Duncan. Supper was served by members. CROQUET OPENING OF THE SEASON. Mrs J. McKeown presided over a good attendance at thy Mauriceville Croquet Club’s season yesterday. Mrs McKeown called on Mrs J. Milner, a foundation member, to run the first hoop and declare the green open. Mrs Milner and Mrs McKeown were presented with bouquets. Competition winners were: —Angles: Mrs Gregory and Miss A. McGovern; Monte Carlo. Mrs FJ Scherf; ladder. Mrs C. Spackman; hurry scurry, Mrs Scherf and Mrs Roigard; clock, Miss J. McGovern; golf, Mrs Roigard.
