SPECIFIC PLEDGES
RELATING TO RUMANIA & GREECE. (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) ANKARA. October 19. Turkey has signed the Anglo-French pacts, which are for fifteen years, including the provision of a Turkish specific pledge to aid the Allies if the latter fulfil their obligations to Rumania and Greece. TREATY TERMS MUTUAL GUARANTEES. ASSISTANCE IN THE EVENT OF AGGRESSION. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Dav, 11.15 a.m.) RUGBY. October 19. Following are the main points of the Anglo-French-Turkish Treaty, today:— The British and French Governments undertake to come to the assistance of Turkey if an act of aggression is committed against Turkey by a European Power, and in the event of an act of aggression by a European Power, leading to war in the Mediterranean area in which Turkey is involved. The Turkish Government agrees to come lo the assistance of the British and French Governments in the event of an act of aggression by a European Power leading to war in the Mediterranean area in which the United Kingdom and France are involved, and if the United Kingdom and France are engaged in hostilities in virtue of either of their guarantees to Greece and Rumania of April 13, 1939.
