WAIRARAPA SHOW
* MANY NEW FEATURES. The Wairarapa Show, the big event of the year in Carterton is to be held on Wednesday and Thursday of next week and will be up to the high standard of recent Shows. Particularly good entries have been received in all sections and competition should be very keen for all the prizes. The committee has gone to considerable trouble and expense in improving the Show appointments and to make the ring events more attractive than ever before. A demonstration of sheep work will be given by Mr Fortune, of Timaru, who will simultaneously work five dogs, all recently imported from Scotland. The demonstration includes the driving in and out between four dogs lying on the ground. This is the first time such a demonstration has been given in New Zealand. It was one of the biggest attractions in Australia last year. The demonstration is timed to commence at 11.30 a.m. Another special attraction will be the jumping exhibition by four riders (two ladies and men), jumping first separately, then in pairs and finally all four abreast. There arc also many other new features.
