The Minister of Supply and Development, Mr R. G. Casey, in a broadcast address, said the War Cabinet had approved capital expenditure of some millions for the extension of munition manufacture. Australia's shell production was to be doubled and the delivery of Wirraway planes wotdd bo expedited so that soon a complete squadron would be equipped with new aircraft every three weeks.
