Results of Second Day at Auckland GOLDEN SHEILA SCORES SURPRISE VICTORY MANUKAU HURDLES GOES TO ERINATION (BY “CARBINE.”) Favoured with a beautiful run on the rails Golden Sheila, «the eighth choice in the Spring Handicap at Auckland yesterday, slipped through on the inside as the field turned into the home stretch and went on to score a decisive win. The Onehunga Steeplechase resulted in a win for Mahala, who proved a better stayer than Saint Musk, after, both horses had taken the last fence together. Erination, who went to the barrier first favourite on both machines, scored a good win in the Manukau Hurdles, with Survalyon second.
