KOPUARANGA
TABLE TENNIS CLOSE OF SEASON. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Kopuranga table tennis club brought the season to a successful close on Thursday evening, when players from other clubs attended to take part in the Yankee Tournament. The winners were Miss Quinn and H. Myers, with Miss W. Greenland and K. Brader, runners-up. ' The trophies won during the year were presented as follows: — Championship singles (miniature cups): Ladies, senior, Mrs Jarrett; ladies, junior. Miss W. Greenland; men, senior, Mr G. Remnant; junior, Mr B. Millar. Ladder handicap: senior, Mr G. McKenzie; junior, Miss W. Greenland. Doubles (Mrs Jarret’s trophy): Messrs B. Fenemor and B. Millar. A dainty home made supper was served by the ladies after which a dance was held. The music was supplied by Messrs B. Southey, B. Fenemor, E. Larsen and C. Jarrett. TENNIS CLUB ANNUAL MEETING. At the annual meeting of the Kopuranga tennis club the following, officers were elected: —Patron, Mrs G. H. Clarke; president, Mr C. C. Jackson; vice-president, Messrs E. J. Wright; R. Kenny. S. J. Clarke, J. F. D. Hewitt; Secretary, Mr C. P. Jarrett; Club Caplain, Miss M. Wright; Committee, President, Secretary, Club Captain, B. Fenemor, B. Southey, Mrs Reside, Mrs Kenny, I. Jackson. The official opening of the Club will take place on Saturday, October 21, at 12.30 p.m. A cordial welcome is extended to visiters to be present.
