NEW SCHOOL

ERECTION AT FEATHERSTON. ‘ TENDERS DEING CALLED. Tenders are being called for the erection of a new primary school at Featherston and the remodelling of the main school buildings. Tenders are to close at the Wellington Education Board’s office a!, noon on Tuesday next. Plans and specifications can be seen at the "Times-Age" office and at the Featherston District High School. The new primary school will consist of live class rooms each 26ft by 40ft. and will be similar in design to the Lansdowne School. There will also be an electrically heated room for children’s cloaks etc. and also a teachers’ room and library as well as a store room and janitor’s room. There will also he the usual outbuildings. When commoted the new school should bo a dis'inet credit to Featherston and wi!' bo quite on imposing structure. The remodelling of the main school will bring that building up-to-date in every respect.
