SUPPOSED CAPTURE OF U-BOAT COMMANDER. MR CHURCHILL EXPLAINS. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) LONDON. October 12. Mr Winston Churchill, in a written reply to a House of Commons question, said the U-boat commander who wirelessed him is not in British custody. Competent authorities informed him that the officer was a prisoner, but a subsequent examination had not confirmed this assumption.
