SHIPS & TRAINS CROWDED WITH REFUGEES SOVIET AIR BASES NEAR. FIFTEEN MINUTES' FLIGHT TO HELSINGFORS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received This Day, 11 a.m.) HELSINGFORS. October 11. The Finnish Minister of the Interior, M. Kekkonen, issued a warning that the Finns were prepared for all eventualities. Steamers going to Stockholm are overcrowded, trains are crammed with refugees and there are large queues outside the savings banks. Newspapers point out that planes from Soviet bases in Estonia could reach Helsingfors in 15 minutes.
