NEW SEASON PRODUCTION
“GREAT MUSICAL FESTIVAL.” Arturo Toscanini is being sought by Samuel Goldwyn to direct ::The Great Musical Festival,” scheduled for new season production. Goldwyn’s plan calls for a dramatic story to introduce opera stars and instrumentalists, with Toscanini handling both. Having completed “They Shall Have Music” and “The Real Glory,” the Goldwyn Studio will shortly commence work on “Raffles,” co-starring David Niven and Olivia de Havilland, and also a film based on the life of Hans Christian Andersen.
