PLUNKET SOCIETY MEETING OF MEMBERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the local Plunket Society was held in the society’s rooms yesterday afternoon. There were present Mesdames Bloxam (in chair), Q. Donald. Roy Donald, R. S. Keenan, A. S. Kelsby. M. C. Purvis, J. A. Halpin, S. K. Robbins and J. G. Donald. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames R. W. Matthews, N. C. C. Shepherd, J. Willett, R. N. Barton, J. G. McKenzie. G. E. Yule, and V. Bergh. Accounts totalling £8 6s 2d were passed for payment. The cash balances in the bank and the P. 0.5.8. was £775 15s Id. The nurse’s report which was read and adopted, was as follows: —Number of cases since work began 843. babies under supervision 67, pre-school children '4O, new cases (all natural fed) 4, visits to rooms, adults 52, babies 50, children 4, total 106, visits to homes, new cases 11, old 32, total 43; telephone calls 24, miles travelled during month 487, miles per gallon 36, districts visited, Featherston, South Featherston, Pukio, Pahautea, Kahutara, Kaiwaiwai, Cross Creek, Western Lake, Lower Valley, Otaraia, Raumahanga, Martinborough, Dyerville, Pirinoa. ■

There are 18 candidates from the Featherston parish to attend confirmation which is to be administered by His Grace Archbishop O'Shea on Sunday at St Mary’s Church, Carterton.
Personal Items.
Mr and Mrs Lewis and Miss Cairns of Wellington, are the guests of Mrs L. McKenna, Pahautea.
Nurse McKay, of the Wellington' hospital staff, is spending her vacation with her parents, Mr and Mrs A. McKay.
Miss C. Bargh, who has been an inmate of the Greytown Hospital, has recovered sufficiently to be able to return to her home.
