GAUNTLET RUN

POLISH PATROL VESSEL HELA PENINSULA SURVIVORS REACH SWEDEN. PENETRATION OF GERMAN MINE BELTS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON. October 4. The Stockholm correspondent of “The Times" says that a Polish patrol ship, Batory, arrived at Gotland Island from the Hela Peninsula with 18 persons aboard, including high officers.

The Batory and two other steamers left Hela on October 1, penetrated the Gorman mine belts and escaped a pursuit. The Batory lost contact with the others and exhausted her oil supplies off Gotland Island. A Swedish destroyer towed her to Wisby.
