The “Telegraaf” understands that Herr Hitler’s peace plan is being transmitted to London through the Italian Embassy, possibly today. A Rome message states that the official agency re-emphasises that Signor Mussolini is not planning a peace conference and is not taking an iniative of any kind. The Associated Press oi America Berlin correspondent says Herr Hitler does not regard Mr Chamberlains House of Commons speech as a clear answer to his peace offer, to which he requires a clear political reply.
