CHILDREN’S LIBRARY

ESTABLISHED BY BOROUGH COUNCIL.

A children’s section has now been established at the Masterton Municipal Library. The younger folk have not been catered for at the library for many years past and this new departure is one that no doubt will be wel • corned by many ratepayers. The books are accommodated in th» room formerly used as a Ladies’ Rest Room, which has been remodelled and fitted with shelves. About 200 new books are already available and another 200 are expected within a week or two.

The children’s library will be open on week days from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Children up to 16 years of age are entitled to enjoy its facilities for an annual subscription of 2s 6<J.
