YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUB CONTEST. TINUI WINS SHIELD. The final of the Young Farmers’ Clubs’ district debating contest was deided last night between he Tinui and Masterton Hub teams. The judge, Zlr J. E. Tier, awarded the ontest to Tinui, who took he affirmative, the subject being: “That in New Zealand farming offers the most attractive career for a young man.” The Tinui team comprised Messrs E. Schofield, R. Curran and R. Spooner, and the Mastertpn team Messrs D. G. Blatchford, D. McGregor and J. S. Mackay. The district patron, Mr G. H. Perry, presented the shield to the Tinui team at the conclusion of the debate, which attracted an attendance of about fifty young farmers and others.
