GREYTOWN

METHODIST CHURCH LADIES’ GUILD SOCIAL. (“Times-Age” Special.) A pleasant time' was spent •at the Methodist Sunday School yesterday afternoon when a social was arranged by the Ladies’ Guild to augment the Church Renovation Fund. The sponge competition was won by Mesdames E. Haigh and Tregurtha (equal). There was a well laden stall of fancy goods and toys which did good business. S.M. COURT MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly sitting of the Greytown Magistrate’s Court was held yesterday before Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M. Keith Kenward, for having ridden at an excessive speed through Greytown on a motor cycle, was fined £2 and costs.

Maurice Campbell, for having neglected to signal when turning a motor car, was convicted and fined 10s with 10s costs.

Chas. Rewi, for having been in possession of an unlicensed wireless set was convicted and fined 20s, with 12s costs.
