After being carried over GOOO miles a small part of a shipment of Californian onions which was landed at Auckland on September 6 has ended its journey on a dump at the top of Mount Eden. Two lines of the consignment in particular were discovered to be in poor _ condition when shipped, and had sprouted during the voyage through the tropics. It. was decided by the Internal Marketing Division to reject these as being unsuited for the retail market.
