WEDDING

DAYSH—CAMPBELL. The marriage took place on Thursday afternoon at St Michael and All Angels’ Church, Kelburn, Wellington, of Joan Dumergue, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs Owen N. Campbell, Kelburn, Wellington, to Harry Edgar Duff, eldest son of Mrs Daysh, Wellington, and the late Mr Norman J. Daysh, formerly of Carterton. The Rev G. M. McKenzie performed the ceremony. The church was attractively decorated for the occasion.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a pale hyacinth blue silk frock and coatee, and a pale blue hat to match with long navy veil. She carried a bouquet of blue and pink hyacinths. . She was ‘attended by her sister, Miss Cushla Campbell, who wore a hyacinth pink silk frock with coatee, and a pink hat to match. Her bouquet was of pink and blue hyacinths. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Geoffrey Longuet as best man. A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, 193 Upland Road, Kelburn, where the guests, relatives of the bride and bridegroom, were received by Mrs Campbell, who wore a smoke blue georgette ensemble, with fox furs, and a cyclamen coloured hat. Her bouquet was of cyclamen coloured flowers. She was assisted by Mrs N. J. Daysh, who was wearing a black coat over a black and white floral frock. Her hat was white, and she had a corsage of cyclamen flowers.

The bride travelled in a grey costume with hat to match, and beautiful blue fox furs.
