(Received This Day, 9.10 a.m.) BERLIN, September 29. It is officially announced that five British warplanes were shot down by German-pursuit planes, following upon an attack on German warships near Heliogoland. BERLIN REPORT UNSUCCESSFUL BRITISH ATTACK. (Received This Day, 9.50 a.m.) LONDON, September 29. According to a Berlin message it is officially stated there that six British planes, after attacking German naval units without success flew away to the west. German fighters intercepted them, shooting down five, after a short air battle.
