CHURCH SERVICES
In line with the churches of otherdenominations, the Baptist Fellowship, which will meet in the Y.M.C.A. Hall at 11 a.m. tomorrow, will devote time to prayerful intrecession on behalf of the nation in the present crisis. Mr R. Utting, late of Auckland, and now of Wellington, will be the speaker. A cordial welcome to the service is extended to all interested, and children not attending any other Sunday School are invited to be present at the Sunday school service, which is conducted at 10 a.m.
Special services in conenction with the National Day of Prayer will be held at St. Matthew's tomorrow. The Holy Communion will be celebrated at 8 a.m. At 11 a.m. the preacher will be-, the Right Rev. F.- A. Bennett. Bishop • of Aotearoa, and the vicar will preach at 7 p.m. The Rev. T. V. Pearson will, preach at Kuripuni at 7 p.m., and Mr V. W. Joblin at Taueru at 2.30 p.m.
The preacher at Knox Church tomorrow morning and evening will be Mr Webster, Presbyterian student. At Matahiwi at 2 p.m. a service and Sunday school will be held. The services at the Salvation Army tomorrow will take the form of a day of national prayer, and will be conducted by Major and Mrs Mahaffie. The Mayor will take for his address in the evening service the subject, "The Wise Shall Understand.” All are heartily invited to the Army’s services. Sunday will be observed as the national day of prayer in the Masterton Methodist Church. The morning service will be conducted by the Rev. Hedley White, of Carterton, and there will, be a parade of the Girl Guides. At the ■'evening service the Rev. Frederick J. Parker will preach, the topic being “The Vision of a Nation.” Special prayers will be offered. Holy Communion will follow the evening service.
At the Kuripuni Methodist Church tomorrow the morning service will be conducted by Mr C. R. Goudge, and the usual car service will leave the church in the evening at 6.50 o'clock lor the town church.
At Wangaehu tomorrow afternoon there wilL.be no service, as most of the residents will desire to come in to the citizen’s service in the Masterton Park at 3 n tn.
