The erection at Heretaunga by the State Housing Department of nineteen houses to provide for families living in the Trentham military camp hospital and other buildings now required for defence purposes appears likely to create another New Zealand building record. The Department received its first instructions only a fortnight ago, a contract was let on the following day and the builders began to, get the necessary materials on the site on the next day. Now, after approximately ten working days, the houses are nearing completion and will be ready for occupation in a few days.
