RECREATION WEEK
OPENING EVENT THIS EVENING.
LUCKY DIP” AT OPERA HOUSE
Recreation Week is being opened in Masterton today by hockey matches this afternoon on the Lansdowne grounds and this evening, at the Opera House, by. the presentation by the Little Theatre Society of “Lucky Dip,” with which the society scored such a notable success the other week. Did the cat-burglar’s bit of rescuework bear fruit? Did Mrs CarringtonHorne catch Mr Nimble Robinson? And if so, did he prove a "dud?” Did he strangle her, or what? Did the briga-dier-general fish up Arnold off ' the end of Worthing Pier? Was it really the murdered Mr Cameron or his ghost that caused such consternation in the third act? Should French doctors take a post-graduate course in measles? Did it creep like a red snake? Should Oliver Boulton have asked cook for carrots, or should he have taken them out of the stock? — See “Lucky Dip” tonight, and judge for yourself.
