WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Wairarapa Cricket Association was held last night, Mr P. G. Ramsay presiding over an attendance of 18 delegates. Apologies for absence were received from the president, Mr S. Brice, and Messrs Lendrum, McPherson, Sortain-Smith and Tier. The annual report was adopted. On the motion of Mr G. Barr, seconded by Mr R. Pawson the balance sheet was adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr F. G. Maunsell; president, Mr Sortain-Smith; vice-pre-sidents, Mr Len Matthews, Geo. Masters, I. McLeod, G. Hancox, D. H. Ridaiford, T. Jordan, G. D. Wilson, C. Perry, J. D. O’Connor; auditor, Mr A. P. Smith;- delegate to N.Z.C.C., Mr D. A. Parton (Christchurch); treasurer, Mr G. B. Peterson;.secretary, Mr T.E. Handcock; committee, Messrs V. Greer, J. Logan, P. McGill, P. G. Ramsay, J. Renner. It was decided to open the season on October 21. The following recommendations wore passed on to the incoming committee: To create a fund for representative gear, such as sight screens, score board, etc. (Mr F. Hoar-offered to repaint the numbers for the telegraph); Carterton to be promoted to senior rating; the senior v. junior club games to be played during the Christmas recess or at the end of the season. Mr J. Renner moved and Mr F. Hoar seconded that the secretary be granted an honorarium of 5 guineas, the motion being carried. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chair.
