A spray of machihe-gun bullets fell in the hamlet of Ballachantuie, Argyllshire, today. A window of an hotel was broken. An aeroplane was heard, but though the sky was clear no one saw it. Fifteen minutes later a plane was again' heard and there were further bursts of machine-gun fire, and a number of nickel-cased bullets were picked up near the hotel, which was full of visitors. Many children were playing on the beach. No one was hurt.
