RECREATION WEEK
OUTDOOR BASKETBALL. TEAMS FOR WEDNESDAY. In connection with Recreation Week an outdoor basketball match will be played on Wednesday evening between the Wairarapa Representative team which has just returned from Invercargill and The Rest. The following are the players: — Representative team: Edna Jones. 13. Stilt (emergency, Margaret McLaren), Maureen Eastwood, Rona Edwards (captain), Maureen Carroll. Alma Burgess, Monica Gadsby. The rest: Goals, Rose Percy, Phyllis Kilmister (captain), O. Lysaght (emergencies, Doreen Dagg and May Baskiville); centres. Pat Hanley (vicecaptain), Hilma Winter, Monica Rutherford (emergencies, Mary Greenlees and Violet Hendry): defence. Connie Shearer, Eileen Talbot. Carmel Butler (emergencies, Elizabeth McLaren and Kathleen Ross). The referee will be Miss I. Kirk of Wellington. Those unable to play are requested to notify the secretary.
