(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, September 27. The New Zealand amateur wrestling championships were decided in Christchurch today. New champions are:—Bantam, W. Ruby (Wellington); feather, J. Genet (Canterbury); lightweight, R. Minnis (Wellington); welter, A. Idour (Otago); middle, G. Harris (Canterbury) ; .light-heavy, H. Cook (Wellington) heavy, Dryden (Wairarapa). (Other results will be found on page 11.

McCready beats wright.

AN EXCITING MATCH

CHRISTCHURCH, September 27.

In the last bout of the 1939 Christchurch wrestling season, Earl McCready tonight beat Rube Wright by two falls to one in an exciting match. Wright took a fall with a figure-four head scissors in the fourth, but McCready took the decision with good falls after dumps in the sixth and seventh.
