Hornblow) and the vice-president (Mr W. Dawson) was fired on Tuesday night. The result was a win by 39 points for the team captained by the president. During the supper interval Mr Hornblow in a happy speech complimented the loosers on the excellent fight they had put up, and said that the win obtained by his team was due to the encouragement he gave to the individual members! (Laughter). Mr Dawson, in reply, said that he objected to the manner in which the encouragement had been given, stating that whilst he was busy fixing up all members at the range Mr Hornblow was going round shaking hands with every member of his team! (Laughter). Mr Dawson then challenged the president to a further match, after which considerable argument ensured as to whether this was accepted or not! The following were the scores:— President.
