BLOMFIELD BEATS WRIGHT. A HECTIC BOUT. ' (By Telegrapn—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Lawless matcraft kept the referee busy, when Lofty Blomfield wrestled Rube Wright, Texas, in the Wellington Town Hall last night. Blomfield won. two falls to one. Wright incurred a penalty for illicit use of his knee in the third round ,but revenged himself immediately by jolting Blomfield groggy and pinning him. Blomfield took the deciding fall in round seven with an octopus clarqp, to which Wright submitted. The referee, Mr Alf Jenkins, was kept constantly checking infringements, mainly fisticuffs,, rather than science. win for McCready. FULLY EXTENDED AGAINST PINDER. AUCKLAND, September 25. Forced to use his superior strength to offset the speed and versatility of his opponent, the British Empire wrestling champion, Earl McCready, was fully extended in retaining his title against a challenge from Prince Bhu Pinder. For the greater part of the contest McCready had difficulty in coping with the elusive Indian, and it was only in the seventh round when he resorted to fore-arm jolts, that he subdued Pinder sufficiently to take the only fall of the match.
