STAMP CLUB MEETING.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
At the first meeting of the newlyformed Y.M.C.A. Stamp Club a keenly interested group of boys attended. Mr C. Clemas, who is acting as organiser to the club, explained to the boys some interesting aspects of the hobby of stamp collecting and gave an indication of ways in which they could increase their knowledge and their ability as collectors. It was announced that Mr' Trevor Beetham, who is a very well-known collector, had kindly consented to act as patron to the dub. The following officers were appointed: —President, Mr C. Clemas; secretary, Mr A. B. Carmine; treasurer. Mr D. McKee Wright; committee, Messrs C. J. Wallis, E. D. Gurney and J. G. Blackwood.
It was decided to hold club meetings weekly, on Tuesdays, at 6.45 p.m. Membership is open to boys who are members of the Y.M.C.A., but consideration will also be given, to applications from others who follow this interesting hobby. Enjoyable and instructive evenings are looked forward to by all concerned.
