MAURICEVILLE
CROQUET CLUB ENJOYABLE GATHERING. (“Times-Age” Special.) A gathering was held at Mrs Palmer's home at Mauriceville West in aid of the Croquet Club's funds, when a most enjoyable time was spent. The room in which the function was held was tastefully decorated with spring flowers. The competitions were won as follow: Cards, Mrs F. W. Scherf 1,. Miss B. James 2. Paper hats, Mrs J. Milner 1. ■ A dainty afternoon tea was served by the hostess (Mrs Palmer). Miss B. James thanked Mrs Palmer for the use of her home. Personal. Mr Stewart Mitchell, of Wellington, is a visitor to Mauriceville. Mrs McArley, who had been visiting her parents at Otaki, has returned home. Mr A. Cameron has returned from a trip abroad, having visited Mexico and Panama. _
