A SPLENDID COMBINATION

GREAT NORTH CHINA TROUPE. The Great North China Troupe will commence their provincial tour at the Regent Theatre on Monday next, September 25, for one night only. These artists are at present in Wellington. Advance reports state that The Great North China Troupe present the ultimate in fast moving and thrilling entertainment. Whirlwind acrobats, death-defying balancers, amazing contortionists, dextrous jugglers, fire-eat-ers, singers, dancers, etc., all combine to provide one and a quarter hours of refreshingly different vaudeville variety. Included in the troupe is Chin Chin, who performs the unique Chinese Fan Dance, never before seen outside the Far East, and the diffcult and dangerous Oriental sword dance. There is also Herbert Young, internationally known as the Chinese Bobby Breen, who, although only nine years of age, will enchant audiences with his magnificent sopr io voice. The stage settings and the colourful costumes are a feature of the show. The Great North China Troupe has appeared by Royal Command before their Majesties King George and Queen Elizabeth. Supporting this great attraction are six English and Continental specialty acts from the leading theatres' of the world. Box plans' are open at Nimmo’s.
