WOMEN’S DIVISION

RANGITUMAU BRANCH. COMPETITION WINNERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The September meeting of the Rangitumau branch of the Women’s Division of the N.Z. Farmers’ Union was held at the residence of Mrs L. R. Wilton. As a result of the petrol restrictions the attendance was rather poor. Competitions resulted as follow: —■ Jar of marmalade, Mrs Macdonald 1; Mrs Ducket. 2. Felt article, Mrs Macdonald, 1; Mrs Wrigley. 2. Three blooms. Mrs Duckett, 1; Miss Harvey. 2. One bloom: Mrs Duckett, 1; Miss Harvey 2. The next meeting will be held in the Rangitumau Hall, when the competition will be a "floating bowl.” Each member will also contribute an article to the sale of work usually accompanying the birthday celebration of the branch.
