MISSING BREMEN

ANOTHER UNCONFIRMED REPORT STORY OF LINER ARRIVING AT BRITISH PORT. ESCORTED BY WARSHIP. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. .NEW YORK, September 20. Reports have been received from London that the German liner Bremen, escorted by a naval vessel, reached a British port. These reports are not officially confirmed but are not denied. The Bremen, a quadruple screw steamer of 51,731 tons gross register, built in 1929, is owned by the Norddeutscher Lloyd of Bremen. With her sister ship Europa, the Bremen maintained an express mail and passenger service between Germany and New York. The Bremen left New York on August 30, after being delayed for 40 hours by the United States authorities, whose officials made' a thorough search of the vessel.
