MASTERTON BUILDING SOCIETY

FURTHER IMPROVEMENT. The sixty-third annual report, to be presented to shareholders at the annual meeting to be held at the Society’s office. Queen Street, Masterton on Monday, October 2, 1939, at 3 p.m., reads as follows:— The directors are pleased to be able to point to a further improvement in the position of the society since last meeting. Comparative figures are as under: — 1938-39 1937-38 Net Profit £1734 £l6BO Percentage of Profit on Average Share Capital 5.96% 5.67% Total Loans £72,561 £70.185 The directors regret the passing away last September of the late manager, Mr J. B. Keith, who had been manager of the society for forty-six years. Mr A. Keith was appointed to the vacant position.

The retiring directors are Messrs E. G. Eton and J. L. Hughes, who are both eligible for re-election. There are no other candidates.
