DANGEROUS AREA
DECLARED BY GERMANY OUTSIDE DANISH WATERS SUGGESTION OF MINE-LAYING. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) BERLIN, September 20. The German High Command has broadcast a warning that: “There is a new and dangerous area outside Danish territorial waters, south of the Danish islands, between 10 degrees five minutes east longitude and 12 degrees five minutes east longitude, extending two sea miles in the direction of the high seas. This areas makes fishing impossible and is dangerous to all ships.” HEAVY EXPLOSIONS HEARD ON JUTLAND COAST. THEORIES OF SEA BATTLE. (Received This Day, 12.15 p.m.) WASHINGTON, September 20. The Copenhagen correspondent of the “New York Times” states that inhabitants of the east coast of Jutland heard heavy explosions, leading to a belief that a sea battle was in progress somewhere in the Kattegat.
