WEDDING

PERRY—LUDBROOK. A wedding of considerable interest to Wairarapa residents was celebrated on Saturday,, September 16 at St. John’s Church, Trentham, the contracting parties being Jocelyn Annie, second daughter of the late Mr and Mrs E. P. Ludbrook, Ruatora, East Coast, and Roland Maunsell, only son of Mr and Mrs G. H. Perry, Masterton.. The Rev. N. E. Winhall officiated at the ceremony. The bride, who was escorted by Mr Howard Booth, looked charming in a gold brocaded frock with tight fitting sleeves and square neck, a train being formed at the back. Her tulle veil was held in place with hyacinths and orange blossom. The bride was attended by Miss Noel Booth, of Carterton, who was attired in a white sunray pleated chiffon frock with blue taffeta sash and wore freezias and forget-me-nots in her hair. Mr Alan Wardell carried out the duties of best man. Afterwards a reception was held at the home of Mr and Mrs T. S. Weston, Heretaunga, only very close friends and relatives being present. The church was very beautifully decorated by friends of the bride. Among the guests were Mr and Mrs G. H. Perry, Miss Mabel Perry (Trentham), Mr and Mrs J. C. Crawford, Mr and Mrs Guy Williams, Miss June Ludbrook and Miss Maunsell.
