Ottawa. —As a result of extensive inspection and strict supervision Canadian live stock is increasingly free from disease. For the past 18 years. Canadian horses have been free of the equine disease of dourine, and there has been no case of scab among sheep for the past 10 years. In the prevention of bovine tuberculosis, about onethird of the cattle in the Dominion are on the accredited list.
