DUKE OF WINDSOR
STAFF APPOINTMENT ABROAD. 3y Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON, September 19. A communique issued by the Ministry of Information says the Duke of Windsor will shortly take up a Staff appointment abroad. The King, in order that the Duke may serve in this capacity, permitted him temporarily to relinquish the rank of Field-Marshal and assume the rank of Major-General with effect from September 3.
