EKETAHUNA

PLUNKET SOCIETY MONTHLY MEETING. , ("Times-Age" Special.) At the monthly meeting of the Eketahuna Sub-Branch of the Plunket Society, the President (Mrs Albrechtsen) presided. Also present were Mesdames Ives. McAnulty, Simmers, Christie, and the secretary, Mrs A. S. Carter. Accounts amounting to £24 0s 6d for three months were passed for payment.

The Nurse’s report was read and adopted and showed the following figures for the months of July and August, those for July being given first: — Number of babies under supervision. 79—83; older children, 47 —47; new cases for the month, 3 —5; visits to office for July: adults 65, babies 51, children 4. total 120; August: adults 56, babies 56 children 3, total 115; visits to homes, 18 —-13; visits to district. 4—5. It was decided to' send the money in hand for the Sir Truby King Memorial to Mrs Purdie. the hon secretary of the Pahiatua branch.
